Team Mextr sat this weekend after grueling last 12 odd months of roller coaster ride, to chart out next steps after beta launch. As usual discussions ranging from topics like product road map, cash flow, business model, market buzz et all. As normal, there were things that attracted excitement and others frustration of not doing certain things right, but there was one topic that become a clear winner, that there is a need for blog, for Mextr team to reach and connect with the world as well as share thoughts.
So, here it goes folks. Our “shubh prabhat” (Good morning) to the blog world.
I think it will be fair to explain first what we trying to accomplish specially amongst market segment that has clear leaders such Naukri.com, MonsterIndia.com, TimesJobs.com etc.
Mextr, is not trying to create yet another job board/portal for the market space, in-fact on the contrary we are developing technology platforms to help and work with these job boards in future. We envision all job boards to be our business partners/customers as we gain traction in Indian sub continent.
Mextr team wants to introduce notion of “Career for Life approach” that provides wide range of services and self served product functionality, that provides path to career success, through various stages of professional life.
With beta, we are introducing our first module, which is our matching technology, with one theme in mind, easy to navigate and “rich user experience” around our application.
The Mextr website is in early Beta stage and has lots of bugs and errors. We are trying to fix them as soon as we find them, and additionally these bugs (because of constant buzzing) are helping us to from sleeping..so, finally there are some benefits of bugs as well. We will strife to close these as we progress, but you can always help us by reporting those bugs or sending your feedback and suggestions. @ support@mextr.com

Home Page ka Sawaal hai??
It happens to everyone that we get hang up few design issues than others. For Mextr team we just had an real expressive audience and so end up having a big list.
To start with, was the landing page “The Home Page” and we have already went through various cycles on UI, action verbs and et all.
Below slide show provides brief agony we went through, there are few (or rather quite a few) that didn’t made the list… !!
